Has anyone ever attempted to put a 2wd cab on a 4x4 frame. I realize that a 4x4 cab has a large hump for the transfer case but if you were to do a body lift on a 2wd cab would it fit.And if it were to fit how much body lift would be required. The only thing I would think I would have to do is punch a hole for the transfercase shifter. Am I correct? What is the purpose of the transfercase cuttout (maintenance,adjustments)?

Buddy has a 2wd body on his 4wd. Think he used a 3" body lift. The box is on a frame for a dumpbox, but never hooked up. That is the only difference between the two anyways is the tranny hump. If the 2wd is a stick, it will have the taller hump.

you can get the unboltable hump outta the 4wd cab and place that in the 2wd cab so you dont hae to do the body lift i believe search that its been done before

As Bob mentioned, you can cut the floor and bolt the hump into the two wheel drive cab with very little modification.
