Lincoln Tranny mechanics

Hey all, was just wondering if anyone knew a fairly inexpensive mechanic who I could have come take a look at my TH400. I didn't seat the Torque converter on very well and I believe it may have sheared the splines off of the pump. If at all possible I'd like to be in on the rebuild. Kind of a fly on the wall, which I know would probably be frowned upon at most shops. Since it's still tight around here with christmas I figured I'd try to get some help or ideas on here. The sooner we get this baby up and running the sooner my fiance can stop dragging my worthless behind every where. Thanks!

Dang... Sorry, can't help you... When I saw the subject, I thought you had a tranny out of a Lincoln... I have a buddy with some contacts for that, but not for a TH400. Pretty much any grease monkey trans shop should be able to work on those. And honestly, if you're getting a warrantee with it, just let the guys do their work and don't be a fly on the wall... Nobody wants that.
