it was weird driving one of those vans because you are in front of the front wheel. It gives you a whole new feel

That looks like a pretty decked out one with all the camping goodies.

I like the flat windshield versions (early) of this body style, especially in the short wheelbase.

Nice that this one has a V-8. I see that it has a 307. Something in my mind thought that a 327 was available when they made the V-8 an option, but I could be wrong. It doesn't matter, tho. If it has a 307 in it now, it can hold a bored/stroked small block of whatever displacement.

Boy would i like to go on a cross country road trip in that thing!!! low budget too, sleep in the back, Gas would be another thing....

i had a 68 a few years back sold it to a buddy it was painted green with a brush where bo you find the option codes on them ill have to check it out he uses it for storage but it was in great shape and run real good not sure now

The one I had was an old plumbing truck from Skokie, IL . You would have thought it was from AZ. There was not one bit of rust on the whole truck, Either it was a back up truck, or that plumbing company did not do a lot of business, because it should have been rusted to hell being that it was from the Chicago area.

I was offered one a few years ago. It was a 6cyl and 3sp that ran like a top, no rust, but the front steering was worn out. It tended to dart about when you drove it. It was given to this guy by the last owner so he was going to give it to the next. I was busy, it was the middle of winter and I didn't feel like hooking the trailer up to haul it home so I passed on the FREE van. He ended up giving it back to the last owner and he sold it for $3700!!!!! ARRRRRRRG! for that I would have hooked up the trailer!

my uncle had one about 16 years ago, red cargo short wheelbase, he has a 350 and a 3 on the tree! it was the coolest heap, i wish i had that old thing. he used it to fish out of, just kept all his gear in it
