1966 suburban roof cut ever been done?

I am working on a 1966 suburban ( translation : drinking beer and looking at it ) and I was wondering if anyone has ever tried to cut the back half of the roof off so it could be put on or off like a older blazer top ? I think it's doible and was curious but before I get anymore bright ideas thought it was the right group of smart people to ask .........anyone....anyone....and yes on the weekend I will try to get some pictures of the fleet posted here for you all to see.

Re: 1966 suburban roof cut ever been done?

I think that idea if executed properly would look great

I recently saw something like a 32 sedan rat rod where they took a ford van roof and reversed it (rear to the front had to do with the way it was stamped) and put it on the top and it looked really good, the rat rod was one of those that the guy had bunch of money in and painted flat black it wasn't the real thing in my opinion but anyway thought that I would throw that out there
