will ignition from 69 c40-50-60 fit 68 c10

I think my ignition went bad..not sure...It'll run if I hold it from behind. The inside of truck stinks like burnt/bare wire/metal. I may try to tighten it up. There is a 69 (biger than c30) in the field. Will ignition switch fit my truck? And can I swap tumblers so my doors/ignition key is the same?

Thanks!

Yes they should interchange & the tumbler should fit. Usually when they do that the connector & main wire is usually burnt also. They have repair pigtails available at a parts store or you can cut the bad part off & use a crimp connector.

Ok doc thanks I misread it.

Found a key to fit in it. But could not turn it. It was REALLY cold i sprayed with with wd40. That didnt help. Then I did something stupid I dont wanna say it but I was mad....

I saw a screwdriver...and, well you should get it from there..

Now you get to go find another one..... My grandpa always said "Patience is a virtue". Let me know if you can't find one.

I should find one. Junkyard is next..

So theres no hope huh.

Yup, my mom used to tell me that alot...patience is a virtue...Must've missed out on that one.

I should be able to get one. I may fool with it when it warms up. Not sure how far I tried to job the screwdriver in it...
