Re: Window Handle Removal...

It has a little clip on the back. These days I have the clip removel tool, I paid a couple bucks for it at a car parts store, but in the old days I would use a rag, screwdriver, or needlenose pliers. Once you pop the clip off the handle pulls right off.

Re: Window Handle Removal...

to put it back on just install the clip onto the handle, than shove the handle on and it will lock again..

Re: Window Handle Removal...

You can also use a piece of a coathanger, put a real tight small bend on one end of it and a larger bend in the other end, slide the small end behind the handle and hook the clip, pull and it's off. I keep a couple of these around and they dont cost a thing.Good luck

Re: Window Handle Removal...

I used a screwdriver for years, fought 'em and lost a few clips...
Finally spent a few bucks on a very handy tool.

Re: Window Handle Removal...

Buy extra clips next trip to the parts store.Unless you're way more coordinated than me you will lose one or two per set of doors and window handles.

BTW I use a bent coat hanger with the small hook hammered flat so it's a bit thinner.

Re: Window Handle Removal...

Before I got the handy clip removal tool, I used to use a wire spark plug feeler gauge.
The bend in the wire worked real good for grabbing the "loop" on the clip.
My HEI gauge worked the bestest.
