Help me please!!

I finally got out in the garage to trace some wires and find out what was going on. I hooked up the wiring according to the diagrams that I have and replaced the dead battery with a new. I could bump the motor over with a push button starter button hooked up, but got nothing when I tried to start it with the key. Well, it got cold and I did not want to go in the garage without heat so it sat for a couple weeks. I went out there today and found out that the junction block up on the firewall wasn't working. I had power to the bigger terminal but nothing on the smaller post. I hooked up a jumper wire and I could turn it over with the key. My question, is there a certain way to bolt it to the firewall? Is there some sort of a connection on the other side that I should have it hooked up to? Can I elminate the junction block all together or just put all the wires on the 1 post?

There is no power getting to the other post, What connection are you talking about, the actual post or behind it?

Re: Help me please!!

Flamingbig10- Thanks for the input.
I would like to keep the heat bc it is cold right now. Is there more than just bolting it to the firewall and hooking it up to work properly?
