It looks like damage that a good bodyman could fix. Have you asked anyone to look at it?

if its a clean rust free cab id try to fix it lol.

but your in CA should be a good cab layin around in great shape headed for the scrapyard as I speak LUCKY

it can be fixed, but that's gonna be a tough one. It might be cheaper and easier to get a new cab.

If not it can be pounded out from the inside, but most likely you will have to use a good amount of body filler to get it straight again.

That is a pretty easy dent to take care of. Much easier than cutting apart your cab for a corner, or worse yet, replacing your whole cab!

A good body man can get that out with minimal filler. Just leave it in primer until you are ready to repaint your truck.

By donor cab, I mean to cut a patch panel. The passenger rocker has to be patched too. The rest is rust free.

a body man could get that out. I don't know you abilities but a stud gun and slide hammer, or the old fashion way by drilling holes, putting a screw in style slide hammer (probably the way to go with actual metal, not the tin they have on cars now) and go that rout. Personally I could *(like I said I don't know your abilities)* get that out and use the same amount of filler, or less, than it would be to weld in a patch.

Welding in a patch would mean you HAVE to pull the tank for safety reasons, pull the back glass and probably the box. It could be beat out from the inside though. The major thing that would make or brake the decision would be your abilites

If you've got a good backup plan in a new cab, you've got nothing to lose by trying first to see if you can get it out.

Beating that out from the inside isnt really a good option thats a double wall. As has been stated any qualified body man can repair that without breaking the pocketbook and you wont compromise the integrity of the cab that way plus if you need to replace rockers as you indicated it will channel the funds needed in that direction.

I am working on one now that is MUCH worse than that. The cab had been hit by the bed in a rear end collision but the cab was very solid and good cabs are hard to find here.

A good stud gun, hammer/dolly, and some patience will fix that without issue. I do body work and fabrication for a living but any body shop can easily fix this at minimal cost.
