window problems

okay guys quick question. i am pulling my old window regulator out while i am waiting for my new one to get here( thanks again lonerife). while i was pulling the window out the track seperated from the window. is it supposed to be glued? or what actually holds to the window to the trac? thanks again.

IIRC there is a gooey,rubbery,tapelike substance.I think it's called "bedding tape".Should be available at a body supply or auto glass shop.Might even find it at a "real" auto parts store.
You will need to take the track out to clean it good since adhesives only bond well with clean surfaces.
