Correct. The long pump with fan would be freakishly close to the radiator. You might have a chance with a fan where the blades are bent back (i.e. flex-fan).

Would depend on what you decided to use for mounts. Factory BB mounts do place the engine further forward than with 73-up mounts. (I did a trial fit with both mounts and a spare cracked block.) Might limit room for the distributor though...

The long pump puts the fan really close to the radiator and will reduce the effectiveness of the shroud. ALso, accessories swap sides so you will have to extend your alternator wiring harness. Because of the remote reservoir PS pump used on 67-72 trucks, the LP PS pump might not go between the frame rails. And if you have AC it too is flip-flopped so you will have to have longer hoses made.
The more accessories you have on your truck, the more worth your time (or money) it will be to get the appropriate brackets and pulleys.

My 454 w/long pump fits w/beefed up small block mounts. As long as 1/2 the fan or more is in the shroud, there is no difference in effectiveness. So moving it "back" would be bad (the air will be pulled from outside the shroud if more than 50% is showing outside the shroud.).
