Re: Lets See Some Bag Setups

does anyone know if you have to use the cups on the lower a-arm? I cant bring myself to buy the tubular a-arms and it seems like you could gain a couple of inches by mounting the bag directly to the bottom arm and leaving out the cup........?

I think you can cut some of the cup off.

Re: Lets See Some Bag Setups

but how come you have to have it at all? couldnt you just drill the mounting holes in the bottom spring pad or even just use a piece of flat plate, just curious if theres something that makes the cup idea necessary?

I think you're supposed to use the cups so that the bag doesn't rub the a-arm. i think you're "supposed" to use a #3800 bag with our trucks which is like 8.8" in diameter. makes sense to me.

Re: Lets See Some Bag Setups

I cut my cups down about 1/2'' to let them set in the a-arm a little lower. It's commonly done on this set-up. Check the measure before you do it....memory from about year and a half ago
