76 GMC build
project "old yeller"
here's a few photos of my truck. I dont have many photos of what I have done yet. but I will get some. the truck is a 76 2 wheel drive short bed. 350 with th350 trans. the old truck looks solid in the first photo but it's not rotten floors, rockers, cab coners, fenders, inner fender, etc. all of these are about the same. I have new doors, fenders, inner fenders, 2 1/2 cowl hood, and bed, well used bed. here's a few of the rear end before and after. Last edited by 76gmc; 01-31-2010 at 08:00 PM. |

Re: 76 GMC build
Nice project, looks good. Are you going with a stockish build?
I am also a fan of the GMCs!

Re: 76 GMC build
yes, just a stock rebuild. the only changes is the engine, but just the common changes made headers, intake, carb, cam, etc. It was my grandpaws truck so I'm building the truck in memory of him.

Re: 76 GMC build
As you can see in the photos of the frame I had to sand the frame down to metal. Some one in the past sprayed undercoat on the frame, and that stuff was hard to get off.
the photo of the spring is before and after sand blasting. I will udate with more photos this week thanks for looking hope every enjoys my post. |
