Another LS Question, I know I know

For all you guys who have done the ls swap, how low does the truck pan hang below the crossmember? I am thinking since my truck is so low, I may need to use a CTS-V or F-Body oil pan. Thanks ahead of time.

Is this for your 86?
On my 86 with 5" front drop it does hang an inch or so below xmember. No scraping problems as of yet.
Here's the best pic I have...

Yes this is going in my 86.That oil pan doesnt look too bad at all. What mounts and /or adapters are you using. And is that the stock oil pan from the 6.0 truck motor? If so, that would work fine and I wont need to worry about spending $300+ for a CTS-V oil pan. Thanks alot for the picture. Cant wait for the 6.0 powaaahhh

Re: Another LS Question, I know I know

I am using the carshopinc ls1 plates. And it is a stock pan. If it was "too" low I would worry, but I think it's fine for the rare cruising I do. I can get some better pics if I ever get my truck back!lol
