Post Vortec heads,headers,spark plugs

What's a good plug to run with headers and
vortec heads?I'm looking for a little more
clearance with my Hedman's. Delco R44LTS
plugs seem the same length as the old R44's
I ran with the old heads.Anyone know if Delco
MR43LTS plugs are a little shorter?Any other
US made Brands? Thanks.

While i can not speak for your part # plug, i know the ones I use (Bosh) are shorter than any of the other 'run of the mill' plug. This is not including all th special header plugs.
THe ones I get are the .99 cent ones at Auto Zone.

I have the 2001 Edlebroc catalog and they have a tech. tip on page 104 that states "To gain more spark plug clearance ........, we advise using a Champion RC series plug, such as an RC12yC. These spark plugs a 0.230 shorter than a conventional plug and have a 5/8" hex for easier access in tight locations."
Sounds like they might be worth a try.
