91 Burb front clip on a 75?
I am sure someone has done this conversion in the past, I could not find a thread by using the search function (or not smart enough to use this feature...lol), but was wondering if it can be done using the existing 75 cab and the entire 91 clip? Anything special need to be done to make the swap? Any info would be appreciated. I am sure it can be done, but the part that baffles me is the fact the new clips have a separate cowl piece, while the older version is kind of built into the hood, maybe not worded quit right, but I think you know what I am talking about.
Thanks for any info you may provided for this swap!

I'd say keep the 75 front end

Hey as far as the sheet metal goes all u have 2 do is make a slot in the top of fire wall so the new hindge will go in.And its best 2 weld a nut on the bottom of where the finder top bolt is ,after u drill a new hole. The bumper brackets are different also.U can just use the later bumper brackets after u cut the frame 2 fit it. IT'S NOT THAT HARD Then u have 2 wire up all your lights because they are different also.

you need to modify the upper firewall area to use the newer hinges. Also you will need to change the wiper stubs. you need the loner ones to make it through the cowl piece. I have also heard that the core support mounts are different.....oh and the front of the frame is different where the bumpers mount.

Re: 91 Burb front clip on a 75?
Sounds like it easier to leave it as a 75, had a chance to pick up a rust free 91 burb clip cheap. The 75 stuff isn't rusty, drivers fender is basically junk from numerous minor collisions, the grill is broke, and needs new front chrome. 91 clip was cheaper than the cost of the parts to fix the 75, I was trying to be cheap, just building this truck to resale and make some cash for my 68 project.

it would definitely be easier to leave it as is. And I don't see as many of the 73-76's anymore.

Check with Capt Kaos. He can get a decent deal on a replacement fender. Not cheap, but good quality.
