Question Body Panel Shims

What sort of shims can be used for shimming & aligning body panels, front fenders in particular? Anything special?

I use the regular horseshoe shaped shims. You can buy them new or if you have a favorite yard that you visit, the 70's trucks
have useable shims in them. Generally the 3/32" to 1/8" are the most used.

Thanks. I have this annoying rattle-squeak coming from the vicinity of the driver's side fender, lower rear. I tightened the bolt, but I think it bottomed out before clamping tight, and the fender could stand a little adjustment.

O'Reilly's sales them. They have to order but it only takes two day. Box of 50 9 bucks. The "help" section at autozone also has them about 4 in a pack.
