Wheel question

Has any one used a positive offset (back spacing) on thier 72 C10. For my application I need to bring my tires inboard a couple inches in order to steer. I am trying to determine how big of a rim I will need to run. I have no access to a wheel shop where I live and don't know how to go about measuring so I don't get wheel rub and interference with tie rod ends. Your help would be most appreciated. Thanks...John

I believe that is the back spacing I have now with the same rim dimensions, stock rim. I need to to go with a deeper back spacing in order for my wheels to turn left or right without biting my fenders. What I'm trying to figure is what is the smallest diameter rim I can use to clear the tie rod and bring the rims in enough so I can steer. I only have a 1/2" between tire and fender.
I have 2 1/2" drop spindles and 1" lowering coils. The frame is from a 72 C10, the body is a 56 F-100, which is why I need to bring the wheels in.
