Apparently my bro is looking at this truck, what are your thoughts on it?

Re: Need opinions please

Looks from the pictures it's a good truck to me.
The cab rust looks typical, but the under cab structure rust is a little bit of a red flag to me. (but then I am a dry climate guy)
At or under 3k I'd be interested in it as a good knock around 4x4.
What it's goin for right now seems fair, just watch out for the typical evil bay fake bidders to run up bids.

Re: Need opinions please

It seems I have seen several reasoable deals in Oregon........does your brother live in Indiana?? If there is no transport or long drive to "pick up" the vehicle, I would think its a fair deal where the bidding stands right now. A few days left..........it might go up a few hundred, maybe not............

Re: Need opinions please

not bad but "rock solid" might be a stretch, I can see through the floor (typical). It will probably go up in price since you can't find one in that shape in Indiana all the time.

I agree that if you live in OR, you should find one for him and have him tow it home on his next visit, he'd be further ahead.

Re: Need opinions please

Yeah, I know what you guys are saying, apparently my brother is (or was) the high bidder on that truck. He lives in Oregon, but hes in Indiana visiting my dad and then out of the blue he says hes bidding on this truck. What confuses me even more is he likes the 67-72 fords, so I have no clue why hes trying to buy a chevy over there, especially when he can find a decent running one here for around 1000 dollars, and on top of it all, if he does win the auction, hes going to drive it back here, and hes only had his license for 5 months, and I know there's no way he knows the roads.
