front drum to disc brakes on a 72 4 door malibu

ok so i was wondering what cars/trucks originally equipped with front discs i could rob everything from the spindles outward. i found out this weekend that the mrs's 72 malibu is equipped with 4 corner drums. i've seen a couple kits on summit and e-gay, but if i can get the oe stuff from either another car/truck that either had the same or similar setup then that's what i will use. thanks guys

Re: front drum to disc brakes on a 72 4 door malibu

well i checked their conversion threads and found that i have a whole list of cars that i can use. some will be harder to find being parted out or in junkyards than others. but i can modify the stock drum spindles to make the disc hardware fit, but i think that i will just find a car and rob all the parts that i need for the conversion. thanks

well it depends on the years but the list can be seen here randy, courtesy of crakarjax for giving me the initial link:
http://www.chevelles.com/forums/showthread.php?t=107745

all the info that you will prolly need will be in the first post. and i have seen some pretty fairly priced kits out there as well for less than $600 for a full kit. but most of the ones that i have seen come with 2" drop spindles.
