What do you think

Ok...there is a local guy selling a 69 LWB flatbed truck. He only wants 500 for it....i'm sure I could get it cheaper if I flashed cash. I'm planning on doing a shortbed conversion anyway...so would you go for it..or look for a regular fleetside truck? From the way the guy talked it is in good shape, it has a 292 and a powerglide, but it doesn't run.

Is 500 a good deal? I'm hoping if it works out to recoup some of my money from the flatbed.
