Count Your Blessings

Well, in the last year...I lost my job, lost my house, went to jail (twice), my dog died, and my wife left...but I still got my TRUCK!!!!!!

Now if that ain't material for a good ole country song, I don't know what is...I should really work on this - anybody got Billy Ray Cirus's phone #

Re: Count Your Blessings

Yeah 2009 was the worst yet since like 93 or 94. This year will be better though cuz the vultures/theives/people who were around causing BS are gone and never never coming back or they go to prison, not jail.. heheh And my uncle had the kemo done to his prostate cancer, and surprisingly after approx 30 treatments it never affected him (made him sick) and it's all fixed up now they said.

I done figured if I ever do get married there will at a bare minimum be a pre-nup for the truck. It will say, no matter what happens, I get my truck, the bike, the big TV and every single tool. lol

Hope everything gets easier for yall Panhead and Rusty.

Thanks for sending her to me, Bryan. Sounds like my first wife, too. I definitely traded up.

Re: Count Your Blessings

My divorce was worth every penny!

She caused me 6 years of direct aggravation and an additional 5 years of residual aggravation. She now lives with her father in Florida, no doubt shortening his life as we type.

Re: Count Your Blessings

Guess I'm a lucky one. My first, and hopefully only, wife is awesome. Yeah we have our issues from time to time, but at the end of the day I love her more than when the day started.

However, since she was married before maybe I'm the god send. She just calls her ex-husband a sperm donor, and says she had Mad Cow disease.

I feel the same way about my current wife, and the same thing my wife was married to a gambler who lost everything including their apartment , furniture, cars etc. and he was constantly cheating and abusive to boot.
Not only do i never abuse or cheat on my wife but i treat her with respect, cherish her, spoil her when i can, help support her kids and our grandkids, but ive provided her with stability and we hold each other up when the other is weak,, its a wonderful thing
Ive learned that life is like a game of bridge... if you dont have a good partner you better have a good hand ( and if you dont have a good partner youre not playing the game)

Wow. Reading this thread makes me feel even more blessed than I normally do.

Life is great. Had a fantastic 2009 and looking forward to a better 2010.

Just celebrated 23 years with the one and only wife last month. 4 great kids. 2 great jobs. 1 great truck.

Re: Count Your Blessings

3 years for me in March, too.

When I first met my current wife, my house was broken into and all of my tools stolen, and my Bull Terrier (my favorite dog ever) died. I was starting to think she was bad luck or something. Luckily, it got much better. I still miss my dog, though.
