Re: 7000 mile ebay truck
There's black overspray on the very bottom of the rockers, and you can see some orange overspray underneath the truck. Plus we know the back bumper isn't original assuming the SPID is original to the truck, it lists a painted rear bumper. So who knows how original that truck really is. Still a super nice truck, but i don't think i'd shell out 13k for it and i'd definitely question the overspray on the rockers, and the overspray underneath. Everything else looks pretty legit.

Re: 7000 mile ebay truck
I think the seller sounds like a schmuck claiming the mileage like he does. I would need a little more support before I believe that line. How about a bs story about his grand pa bought it and lost the key.... sat in garage only to take the family to all you can eat buffet on sundays.
If the buyer believes that racket, I have a '72 C-20 with only 1,100 miles on it. Notice the disclaimer about rattle can restoration and evidence of over spray. Also love the "under hood has been painted with brush".

Re: 7000 mile ebay truck
This has the Barrett Jackson affect but as we all know "Rare doesn't make it valuable". It is a nice looking truck. Have you ever realized that most of the low milage trucks are pretty basic? Why is that?

Re: 7000 mile ebay truck
Haha, I think because most of the pickup drivers back in the day were blue class like today, and we drive em. People who spent bigger bucks on Cheyennes and the CST's drove em just like people who spent money on Hemi's, Boss cars, and SS's. Plus, most people who are into these trucks already dug up a lot of the survivor Cheyenne and the like trucks in the 80's and early 90's. All that's left in quantity is the lower base models in survivor form, though there are occasional high option truck finds. I have definitely seen a lot less Cheyenne's over the past few years as compared to 10 years ago. Trevor
