little project of mine while raining.......
here's some Cali black and yellow plates im working on that i will be using one way or another lol. one was pretty horrible(the top half all bent up and stuff) when i got them, the other wasn't to bad. didn't take before and during pics but here they are in primer, they still need some more sanding to finish smoothing out and then i can start painting them the colors they are supposed to be. they are not going to be perfect but good enough for me lol. let me know what you think.

they are stamped 63, but while i was taking tags off with a razor blade, the oldest tag i found was a 1964 tag under some other ones. you know 65, 66, 67, 68, 69, 70, etc. actually seen all of these on their as i was carefully cutting them off in little pieces. it had like a million tags on their lol.
edit: my dad said they came off of some kind of Willys truck that was pretty much stripped, but didn't know what year. Last edited by project 67 sub; 01-21-2010 at 02:03 AM. |
