The truck I bought is a 2000 4wd silverado that has a flat wooden bed on the back. Anybody know the measurements that would tell me if it's a shortbed or longbed? Any other tell tale signs/vin niumbers etc? Need info fast if possible, help very much appreciated........Jerry

Well crap, it's a long bed. Anybody here ever cut one of these newer trucks down to fit a shortbed?

I have seen a few trucks on dieselplace.com that have cut down from long bed to short bed, as there were no regular cab short bed 3/4 tons ever offered, maybe look there.
