Pickups are Light Duty Trucks. Dump trucks etc are Medium and Heavy Duty C40-65. "Supplement" manuals add minor differences to the specified full manual to be complete. My 76 Service Manual Supplement states that it's a supplement to the 1974 Service and 1974 Overhaul Manuals.

There are 3 manuals to have a "complete" set for 1979. Helm got $75 for a set but they are out of print. Ebay, Craigslist, Estate sales...

(1) ST33079 - 1979 Light Truck Shop Manual
(2) ST33379 - 1979 Car And Light Truck Overhaul
(3) ST35279 - 1979 Light Truck Electrical Diagram

Chris
In order I'd say the Shop (Service), Electrical (wiring), then Overhaul (Unit Repair).
I spent less than $50 on EvilBay for a full set of 4 for my 76.

thanks for the info I found all three at one place for $70 including shipping, not to bad considering what they are going for
