Wing window

So my on my 78 stepside my wing window is off because I need a new pivot rivet for it. Can I get that at a local auto parts or just trough lmc or other vendors? Also I was looking at the bottom of the wing window and I saw sometype of rod locking thing. Can anyone tell me what it is? Thanx

Re: Wing window

most pop rivets at an auto parts store are aluminum or tin and wont work cause they will break. you need a chrome steel one for there.or for a temporary fix on a daily driver you can get a small nut and screw for it
I believe the catalogue companies only sell whole assemblies. Its cheaper to find a nice used one in the bone yard

Re: Wing window

You can buy a rivet kit that has the pivot rivet with it.

The rod on the bottom of the wing window has a spring so you can tension it
