Thoughts on Doug Thorley heads from my 70 4x4
I came across someone selling a nice set of Doug Thorley 372Y chrome headers. Is anyone aware of any fitment issues on a 70 Chevy K-10? If I upgrade to Vortec heads will these still bolt right on? Any other feedback on these headers would be appreciated. Thanks
EDIT: In the title I wrote heads but meant headers! My bad Last edited by Patsfan34; 01-26-2010 at 04:36 PM. Reason: misprint |

Thanks Burt. I was just hoping someone had put them on there SWB 4x4 and there were no fitment issues. Looks like I'll be the one with feedback on this topic. Glad to hear you have them on your 454, that makes me feel a little better!

Great header for low end torque but keep inmind the Tri-Y design is not intended to be use in high RPM applications. Just a FYI.
Good Luck Burt

I have not used this particular header but the other 2 sets of Dougs I've owned have kicked ass for fit and not leaking. And use those Byson gaskets he sells with em!

Thanks sako. The only thing I need are the header gaskets so I'm glad you made the suggestion.
