I have seen discussions about his custom IFS on the HAMB and Stovebolt but there's not much info here. Here's what I know right now:

I have seen a couple of members here using this. What are the advantages, disadvantages?

did you ever come up with a crossmember for tf trucks?

Scott has a houseful of guests so I'll step in and offer hopefully a correct response while you wait for him to get some computer time.

Scott has AD trucks and designed his IFS crossmember based on what he wanted to have and to overcome the shortcomings of other IFS choices. I've never seen him mention owning a TF truck or considering creating a crossmember for one.

His response would be the last word on this subject, not mine, but Scott and I have been acquainted online a long time and I think I'd know if he were offering another crossmember.

While I don't have his crossmember another friend of mine does. Last time I was in his shop it was unpacked and laying on the floor, not installed. It looked like quality work to me.

i think in the early part of the stovebolt post someone was asking so figured i'd see if he ever looked into it. i think its a really nice setup to run, makes me wish i had waited for a AD instead

Yes, did have a house full of family. There is not enough demand for the TF trucks, plus, a simple mod to the 73-87 half ton IFS can be done to bolt under the TF's.

i have a tf and a half ton ifs so..... what kind of mod is needed ive been thinking about trying to go ifs and this might be the answer.
id also like to go low will this mod allow me to do that too?
thanks for any help/suggestions.

you can either widen the ifs cross member by cutting in half and adding 1.5" (works best with two cross member frames, or you can pinch the TF frame inward by making two triangular cuts on each frame rail.
