Work truck wood floor material?
I am trying to decide what to put back in my Longhorn floor for a floor. Most of my bed strips are damaged or rotted from the camper being on it it's entire life I'm guessing. Since I am in elcheapo mode right now, I am planning on using marine plywood for now. I would like to install a new floor kit eventually, or I am leaning towards a steel floor conversion, IDK. What other materials have you used if all of your bed strips are junk? I don't want to use plate steel at this point either. It is really pricey right now, daimond plate anyhow. Any ideas?

Re: Work truck wood floor material?
here's my low buck solution.
I never outlined the actual install, but you get the idea from what I wrote. And for the record, it's still holding up fine too. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=192886 |

Re: Work truck wood floor material?
Thanks! That's what I was thinking of doing but just using marine plywood and painting it with that bed liner cheapo stuff you can get at the local parts store. it has to be better than what it is now.
On edit: Did you use 3/4"? That is what I am planning on using and I'm pretty sure the stock boards were 1x5 or 6's?
