wheel cylinder kits?
I'm looking at rebuilding my old ones instead of buying new, and was wondering what all I'm gonna to need to rebuild them? I'm looking at the kit's at o'reilly's and just wanted to make sure it's gonna have everything I'll need.

There really isn't much to it. All you really need is some kind of honing device to clean-up the bores....but by the time you buy one, you might as well buy new wheel cylinders and save the time. It can sometimes be tough to get the bleeders out, especially in states where we get "weather"

Before you go to the trouble of honing the cylinders check the bores. With the age of these trucks there is a good chance honing will not clear up the cylinders good enough for the seals to work.

Fronts will run you about $60 for the pair and the rears are around $20. Most auto parts stores will have them and they are easy to change out. To me it's not worth the time or mess to try and rebuild them. I was considering doing the same thing, but went the replacement route instead. Just my.02 Cnut

Not exactly what you asked about, but.... when I did 'em (years ago), I just spent a few dollars more and got new ones. Not much money, new instead of rebuilt, less labor... it made sense to me.
