Re: Need help with names

well in my experience with naming vehicles they kinda take the name on
MY 1989 dodge ram was named *****i'n betty well let me put it this way after i named her that i cant get her to run more than 2 days before she breaks down.
my 69'blazer is named Abigale so im still waiting to see how she acts as well

just be careful what you name them cause they can take the name on lol

Re: Need help with names

I think if you are going to name a vehicle or project it should mean something or come from something that reminds you of the vehicle. Kind of like a lot of people name pets. You watch the pet for a while to see what traits it has or see what its personallity is like before you name it.

I never name my vehicles or projects but the truck I am working on will have a name. It's a father/son build and my dad's nickname is Bubba. My truck will bear that name as well.

Good luck with the names.

Re: Need help with names

Mine usually come by their names thru time.It seems like they "earn?" a name or create their own. Most are descriptive but some defy logic.

Yeah I got that dude, I saw the movie too. You also said something "different".

Anyhow, it's like burger king, have it your way.

Re: Need help with names

I see where you are going with your name idea, but I think the idea that vehicles can earn their nicknames is fairly true. I had never named mine before, but was told to by my wife when I ended up with 2 red 4x4's. Not that these trucks are the same in any other way! One got named for it's not attractive appearance, the other for it's history of having fits.(redheaded stepchild) or SC for short. My 7year old daughter named my 72 2wd for the paint.(Pearl..) I think it is easier to name kids than vehicles!!
