Dropping a 2wd 1-ton dually. Questions.....

What is the easiest way to drop a 2wd 1-ton dually but retain the HD spring rate?

Is there a company that sells 1-ton drop coils for the front? For the rear, would spring under be the way to go? I want to bag it eventually, but for right now I just want it a few inches lower.

drop spindles in the front and a shackle hanger kit for the rear will give you a few inches 2 1/2-3 in the front and 3-4 in the rear and you will still have you one ton towing capacities.

Jitterguy, where did you buy the spindles and shackles? I have been looking for a kit but can't find one. One other thing, are the spindles for a 3500 the same for a 1500? I wouldn't think so. The spindles would be much stronger, no?

I got my stuff here: http://www.sporttruckdirect.com/C30_kits.html
Parts arrived within a week. They have several drop levels.

I ran 3" rear drop on my 2500HD for a while and it towed great, anything more and I would suggest running air bags.

Yeah, I don't wan't it slammed Just a bit lower. On airbaggit.com I could only find spindles for a C-10. I imagine the spindles for a C-35 are a little heavier?

Re: Dropping a 2wd 1-ton dually. Questions.....

Well Kenbo it is sitting on the x-member in front due to being aired out but when raised up it does fine. If I was going off road I'd take my v30 crew. As far as towing this will be set up to tow and I towed a lot with my '92 shop truck seen here:

And towing one of the show cars seen here:

If you're dragging the Jeeps to the parking paved parking lot at the entrance to the dunes either of these is fine but both max out at about 6" ground clearence.

Good deal man. Sharp looking rides! I want to do air, but at the moment I'm just looking to drop it a couple of inches.
