Running exhaust in front of rear tires
I would like to run 2 1/2" exhaust along the inside of my frame, thru my ECE drop crossmember and exit just in front of the rear tires. My muffler of choice is the Flowmaster Super 44. The muffler comes in a straight thru or staggered inlet/outlet design. I'm not sure which one I need to run the exhaust the way I want it. Do I get straight thru or staggered.
I'd like to see photos of how the exhaust is run if you guys have them.

Re: Running exhaust in front of rear tires
too much snow on the ground to go take a pic, but this is the set up I have. My mufflers are the original 40 series center in off set out. Pipes turn @45 angle and exit in front of rear wheel. I like 'em. I don't have a cross member though, as I have a 5 speed matted to the original bell with rear mounts.

Are they dumping straight down or do they turn out in front of the tires?

Re: Running exhaust in front of rear tires
Just a suggestion, I ran a 461" Olds BB through the system I mentioned(in my longhorn ,early 90's). It was one of those "rattle the windows" in any building you pulled up next to.....nothin like BB power crazyAL

Re: Running exhaust in front of rear tires
mine is a little on the loud side, but not rattle the windows loud. it's just loud enough to drown out the wind noise at highway speeds.

Re: Running exhaust in front of rear tires
You meed the offset in (to hug the frame) and center out.Double offset will work, but not necessary.
