High School Trucks!
Post up your old skool rides that were your first trucks in life! Those trucks you drove in High School and your younger years!!
OH! Post what range of years you were in! Here's mine from the 80's! My First truck, only pic I have. LT1 350, classic Cragars. That is me in the Dominoes uniform, I totaled this truck while delivering a pizza... no PS no PB The first car/truck I ever built! I got it with no right side and no drive train, this out of all of them is the one that got away. Silverado, fully loaded... My favorite 67-72 I ever owned! This was a cool truck and clean with an inline 6 that would smoke the tires! This was the cleanest truck I ever owned, too bad it was Chevy orange. I couldn't bring myself to touch it, it was so factory. I also had a '70 GMC Longbed we called "The Mustard Truck" because it was mustard yellow, no pics of it...

Re: High School Trucks!
Here's mine, Homecoming parade 1989. Check out the chrome sunvisor. My dad bought me this truck when I was 14. An old TVA truck with I-6cyl. factory 4 speed. When we got it it was white with a TVA truck # on the side. I still own the truck today, looks better now.

Re: High School Trucks!
Funny, I was just thinking about this same thing. My first truck was in 1983. My dad was a Ford guy. He has since converted. It was a $500 '70 LWB F100 with a 360/C6. I learned a lot working on this truck. My dad and I went to look at it, we were so green about cars. It was originally maroon and had been painted brown with house paint and a brush. It had poorly painted flames on the hood. It had a piece of plywood in the bed, seller said "to protect the bed, nothing wrong under there". We didn't look, it had a gaping hole. Was advertised as a '69 but was really a '70, had a homeade custom grille. Anyway, we bought a bed for it and a hood and eventually had it painted and put a stock grille back. I took a lot of grief from my friends in HS over that truck. Told my dad I woudn't drive it unless we had it painted, he said fine. I had to eat crow, in the end a 16yo boy would rather drive an ugly truck than ride the bus-at least I did. Here is the only picture I have with it before paint. It was a 100 footer Had the engine rebuilt which was OK, swapped to a Holley 2bbl which was way better than the stock carb. Had the tranmission rebuilt 4 times by 2 different shops but never could get it right, it always slipped. Just before he sold it, we swapped to a granny 4sp in it.

Re: High School Trucks!
I don't have a pic of my 1st truck on my computer, but it was 1978 SWB silverado 454 black with blue interior. Too fast for a 16 year old.
When I was a senior in high school , my dad and I started restoring my 72 cheyenne super swb. Then I drove the only ford truck I really liked.

Re: High School Trucks!
I'll have to find pictures of my first truck but it was a 92 S-10, V6, 5 speed. Bought it cheap it was a little rough. Paint job, lowered 2/4, bedcover, AR23 rims 15x7 & 15x8, high performance clutch, interior paint, custom sterio, posi rear end 373, no cats with 2.5" straight pipes. It looked and sounds mean. Really loud, you could hear it coming from a good distance. Still wish I had that truck. That truck was known when I was in 10th and 11th grade.

Re: High School Trucks!
Unfortunately didnt have any memorable trucks in high school but i did drive this through college. Its a 72 cheyenne and is still my favorite truck ive ever had. It was rusty and people laughed at it but i drove it everywhere. Had to use it as partial trade for my chevelle though.

Re: High School Trucks!
This is a great thread! Got to reminiscing and decided to post all my vehicles chronologically...
Drove my dad's 91 K1500 with 225K on it in HS before getting my Acura my senior year in 1998. Drove that for 5 years through college until it blew head gaskets, and then returned to dad's 91. Drove it until it killed it's 4th 700r4 at 317K. Then, in 2004 I bought the white 98 K1500 at auction for $2000 with 200K on it and sold it 4 years later for $2500 with 300K on it. Then I got my 05 diesel in 2008. And in 2010 I finally got my toy
