Smog Pump Question
Hey guys, I am a foreigner (usually on the 60-66 forum).
Anyways, I was wondering if a belt driven smog pump can be converted in anyway to compress air? I dont have any dea what the function of this part is nor how it works. I have searched but no valid results. Can anyone here enlighten me?

Re: Smog Pump Question
I wouldn't think that it would make enough pressure to be any good. I have seen where guys have converted A/C compressors into air compressors. Never heard of a smog pump. You would probably be better off getting the compressor unit of a like 5 or 6 gallon compressor and set it up with an AC clutch and run it of the motor, I've seen that before too. Best would be a 12volt compressor, good ones are usually trouble free, of course you probably know this.
