Well the owner of the burnt truck came and took it home and I paid him alittle vist.lol Seems he is planning on building another truck and want to use some of whats left,but he also said he might sell it to me if rebuilding was gonna cost alot,so either way I still got a chance!

I think the shop burned down around it.

I say it's probably salvageable...of course, I'd go over it with a straightedge and make sure it's not wrinkled all over.

man if i had that burnt truck, i would go through the suspension, mounts, etc, make it safe, glas, interior, and KEEP THE BODY LIK IT IS! slam in a BB, and you have one hell of a sleeper. but thats just me

Go slowly and carefully with that one as a fire creates problems that you can't see but you will find when you start to disassemble. Consider the value in terms of salvage parts---and then very few----. Heat warpage is a difficult thing to recover from as is burnt out paint, insulation, wire harnesses, etc. How do you sandblast between the inner walls of the cab, firewall, roof, etc.

hey big o if you get that truck you are going to have to get it dipped in striper and then dipped in rust stopper or it will be a nightmare with the rust in as little as 6 month after you finish it. i had a friend who bought a 67 chevy shoe box that was in a fire and redid the car about 6 to 7 month ago and then it started to have rust pop through the paint in all the bad spots i think it accelerated the rust in the spot that he could not seal up. hope this helps

Well the truck was black and I think the owner is gonna rebuild using a rolling frame and cab of mine,all I really wanted was the bed and a couple other things anyway.
