Re: dash cap ideas
you have to either cap it cover it or glass it for it to look like anything the metal base doesnt look right with nothing on it

Re: dash cap ideas
yea, the metal has a lot of small holes in it for the foam to adhere too. we have a burn pike for trash and i burnt mine, only leaving the metal shell for the scrap pile

Re: dash cap ideas
I have two dashes, the better of the two has a crack in the middle so I took the really bad one to an interior shop and had them color match for less than the price of a new dash. It came out great.

Re: dash cap ideas
Have you looked in to a carpet or velour dash mat. $35 will make it look a lot better until you come up with another option.

Re: dash cap ideas
I had mine covered also and was cheaper than a new dash and even cheaper than a dash pad.

Re: dash cap ideas
I think the dash alone was about $80 ish. The whole interior was somewhere around $650.

Wow!

Re: dash cap ideas
It's "pleather" but is very comfy and easier to take care of than real leather.
