drop kit or parts what is the best???

I want to drop my truck i want to do 4/4 or so i want to do it with a spindle and spring up front would like to do 3 inch spindle and 1 inch spring but may do a 2.5 spindle and 2 inch spring and shack/hanger out back i do not want to flip.

So can you guys tell me were to go for great stuff that will fit. I do not want to have a stay away story.

thanks Jeff

And a pic of my truck the red one and would like it to be as low as the blue truck sorry if it is a members truck but I like how it sits

http://www.stylintrucks.com/sn.aspx?...sults_trigger=

i went with all the bell tech stuff. 3 inch spindles and the shackle and hanger kit. good quality parts, but expect to spend a whole weekend putting everything on though lol
i have mine set to a 3/3 drop cuz i like a little rake
but you could use the 3 inch spindles and just cut a half coil out of your factory springs. if i want to go a little lower that's what i'd probably do.

Re: dorp kit or parts what is the best???

Yeah I wouldnt buy springs yet.. put the spindles on and see how low you are first and if you wanna go just alittle bit lower I would try cutting your springs thats what I did....but I got lowering leaf springs for rear and then I cut the front hangers off and moved them up the frame to get the height im wanted....I got my stuff from airbagit.com, Have had the spindles on for 6 years now and had the leafs on for 2 until I bagged it..

To use 3" spindlles with those wheels, you'll have to do some grinding on the lower control arms. I have 2.5" spindles, and they clear my 8" rally wheels just fine.

I think that blue truck is lowered more than 4 inches in the back, probably with a flip kit.

Are those 15's on the blue truck? It's probably just me, but they look bigger than 15's. I love chrome Vette rallys, and they look great on that truck!!

Re: drop kit or parts what is the best???

Well i want the tires about one inch from the top of the wheel wells so I think it will be ok with a 4/4 I love how Tony SS truck sits and that is what he did i think

Wheels grinding im not worried about im going to get a set of 15x6 car rallys for the front it will make the tires look and fit better

Alex1 the fronts are 15x8 4.5 inch bs with a 26-8-15 tire and the rear is a 15x10 5 inch bs with 29-15-15 tire and some pics for you

I'm pretty sure they are 15's. It's Silvereagle's friends truck that they built. Here is the info on it from another thread.

The wheels are repro car rallye wheels with corvette caps and trim rings.
15x8 front with 275/50/15 BFG Radial T/A
15x10 rear with 295/60/15 BFG Radial T/A
The color we got off of a mid 90's truck at the Ford dealer we work at.

Rigon4,

How much space (inches) do you have between the tires (side wall) and the leaf springs with that set up ?

Thanks

Re: drop kit or parts what is the best???

Restrorob the tires are flush with the body on the out side a 1/4 inch from the box floor on the inside and 2 inches give or take from the leaf spring.

When the truck is going in for paint im going to tub it by cutting down 67-72 bed wheel tubs and taking it to the frame rail in prep for a for link set up some day inside the frame rails for max wheel and tire room

Nothing a 4-1/2" grinder can't fix.
Just a little trim and you will be fine.

thats what i ended up doing. I just didnt want any surprises for him when installing his kit. A grinder and a torch can fix anything lol.
