'63 Cab on a '65 Frame???

Just got a line on a '63 Cab and Front Clip for a great deal.

How much Fab work will be needed to mount it on the '65 frame?

I know the front cab mounts are much wider on the 123's, is that the only difference (with mounting)?

Thanks ahead of time.

Re: '63 Cab on a '65 Frame???

I would think there wouldn't be any problem because the 63 was the first year for the coil front suspension. Just like a 65. I think they use the same frame. But, I have never worked with one so I am really not the guy to give answers. Someone will chime in.

The cab mount frame configuration is the same on the '60-'62.

Re: '63 Cab on a '65 Frame???

So thanks to the help of the guys above, I picked up the 63 Cab and Clip. All told i have $400 into it including the guy delivering it to me.

The Good:
Great inner fenders
Fenders
Core/Grille Support
Grille
Cab Floor
Doors
Glass
Extra bench seat to use as garage couch

The Bad:
Visor in and out rotted (Upper windshield area?)
Bottom most rear seam outside rotted
Hood pretty rough
No Title
PO cut speaker holes and did a home tint job

Thankfully Cab #1 of 3 has good areas to patch, a good hood and a title if I cant file for lost.

Thanks again for the help.

Whew...the two most diffucult places to repair, the upper windshield area and the lower rear cab area, otherwise you have some decent stuff from the deal.
