weatherstripping and seals
OK now it's time, tax money will be coming back soon so I'll be painting the Burb in April/May. I need to order a complete set of weatherstripping and seals. Prefer to buy from someone from the vendors here on the board. Does anyone know who is the best to buy from? Obviously prices are a concern but the quality is the priorty.
thx in advance, Al

Re: weatherstripping and seals
Classic parts and The truck shop both carry all of the burb weatherstripping and are as affordable as anyone out there. Have you tried a company that only sells weatherstripping like Steele Rubber. They might have higher quality weatherstripping at a lower price, since thats all they sell.

Re: weatherstripping and seals
Al,
I am not sure which vendors on here carry them.. But after putting many sets of seals on over the years be sure to use "Precision Brand".. IMHO they simply are the best on the market today.. |

Re: weatherstripping and seals
TruckandCarShop.com has a good selection of Suburban weatherstripping at a decent price. Many of the parts we buy from various vendors come from the same manufacturer but the selling price varies greatly. I have had good luck with these guys and they are very competively priced. Good Luck

Talk to tkorinek. I am getting some Suburban specific seals from him, he can probably help you out too. Great guy and very easy to work with.

Re: weatherstripping and seals
There is a member "Rockcrln " That has developed a second or an additional wetherstrip that goes on the doors that greatly reduce wind noise. The information link and pictures are at the bottom of his avatar. He is the only one selling these. There are sets for Suburbans as well as pickups.
