Looking for a local upholstery shop in Texas
Looking for a shop preferably in the DFW area but will drive for the right person and price.
I am looking to get some upholstery work done in the near future and was looking for some recommendations of local shops that do good work. I purchased a newer model set of bucket seats to put in my truck and looking to have them covered in leather. I am hopeing to find a shop that will let me provide the leather as well.

Re: Looking for a local upholstery shop in Texas
I've heard Bill's glass and upholstery on main street in Arlington does good work.

Re: Looking for a local upholstery shop in Texas
What part of DFW? It's a pretty big area. I have used a shop in Rowlett before. Not much help if you are on the other side of Ft. Worth though.

Route 66 Auto Interiors
4422 Lakeview Parkway Rowlett, TX 75088-4023 (972) 475-6437 He has been there forever and I see nice stuff at his place all the time. I was more than pleased with his work but all he did for me was put a replacement seat cover on. |

Re: Looking for a local upholstery shop in Texas
Best way in my opinion is to go to some local car shows and see what they did in person. You are in the middle of car country in Texas Ask the guys who did the work, thats what i would do. I don't often reccomend interior shops but I will recommend Jeff Lilly restorations. but might be kind of far
http://www.jefflilly.com/ there are quite a few good companies Last edited by mbgmike; 02-04-2010 at 08:04 PM. |

Re: Looking for a local upholstery shop in Texas
The last couple of car shows I have gone to I havent been able to find the people next to or near their car/truck when I found one I liked. Thats why I decided to post here. Thank you all for the recommendations.

Re: Looking for a local upholstery shop in Texas
When I was looking for a shop I also talked with folks that had recent work done. Questions I asked was: Are you pleased with his work? Did he promise a finish date? How would you rate his work with other local shops? Surprising I found some shops were just like autobody painters. Had more work than they could do and couldn't even provide a completion date or start date. So I took my work else where.
