Tire question for the 4x4 guys

I've been asked by someone on another UK forum if I've heard of Achilles Desert Hawk AT tires. From looking around on the web they seem to be a US company based in California and make tires for everything from cars to massive earth movers. I've not come across them before and it may be that they're only just moving in to the UK. Are these tires any good or are they on a a par with a set of cheap far eastern Linlong ditchfinders? :headscrat I thought if anyone would know it'd be someone here!

Cheers
Phil

Re: Tire question for the 4x4 guys

I've never heard of them either.

I even use to live in the area that they are showing, and the address on their home page is just a sales/corporate office. I've actually been to that building for another reason, and it's just a bunch of office suites so there isn't any manufacturing.

Plus as far as I know there isn't any tire manufacturers in that city either?

Re: Tire question for the 4x4 guys

Looking deeper into their website it looks like they're just an importer/re-brander of asian made tyres. I'll tell him to man up and buy some General Grabber AT2's. Thanks Guys
