Re: th350

I have done the manual to auto on a few 4-5-6 Chevy trucks and would be glad to help you with the process. I used all original equipment, including a 3-speed Turbo HydraMatic auto transmisson, low hump tranny cover, automatic column and auto tranny cross member. Let me know if I can help.

Re: th350

Thanks Mac. I thought I had some of the finished product...Before & After, but I can't seem to locate them. In order to keep the conversion, as true to factory, as possible, I also remove the "Z" bar mount from the top frame flange and installed the factory plastic cap, where the clutch rod exits the floor. It was important to me, that the conversion appeared factory in all aspects. Thanks for the compliment Mac.

Re: th350

Just make sure not to get a crossmember from a truck that had a catalytic converter. They have one side that looks like the pic above but the other side is more 'L' shaped and mounts on the outside of the frame. I was told that the years for those are 75+ so I bought one from a 74. Ended up getting one of the L members and while it works it is ugly and doesn't give you any good options for running your exhaust.
