I have a nice '68 cab I'd like to use on a '71 truck project.
Just wondered how much is involved in making the swiitch?

I know the emergency brake is different and will have to be changed.
Is the '68 windshield wiper wiring harness long enough to relocate the switch to the right side of the '71 gauge bezel?
Do I need to just swap the complete dash harness.
This is not a restoration project,... just a nice clean modified driver.

Has anyone done this swap?

The wiper harness is long enough. When I made the swap I ended up not doing the e-brake because it is not a simple change as the firewall is very different in the e-brake area. I kept the throttle rod setup for the same reason.

If you don't mind cutting and welding it is possible to put the 69-72 E-brake assembly in a 67-68 cab. You just need to transfer that section of the fire wall from the '72 to the '68. The fuse box will also move to a different location. Compare the two cabs and you will see what I mean.
Also, someone on here did a thread on a conversion from throttle rod to cable.
