72 Blazer 6 inch lift

banghead:I live in portland and drive a newly lifted 72 K5. I have a 6 inch with 35s and the thing wonders all over the road now. I put in all new body mounts, new ball joints lower and upper, a raised steering arm, dual steering stabilizer. it drove straight before and now it wonders. Any ideas? I heard if I take the degree shim out of the front spring pack it should help. Is that true? How is yours set up?:

The degree shim will give you less caster and probably make your truck wonder. You need to check your caster and see what you have.
The shim is there to change the degree on your u-joint so your front drive line doesn't bind so much, which is another thing you need to check.

Yes, and I really wonder why these companies still do that? but they have for more than 25 years. I guess they think most people would rather have the driveshaft fit w/o any more effort than have it drive straight?

Be forewarned, you will probably need to have your drivehsaft worked on to improve it's ability to make up for that angle, but you will get your caster back and it will be much more stable on the road.
