Exclamation WTB: Driveshaft

I have a 1968 c10 shortbox with a 2 piece driveshaft and a th350. I need the front driveshaft. i dont know if there were different sized front ones, but if you have a front that youd sell me, give me a price with shipping to 13438, and also measurements of the driveshaft. Thanks in advance! Dan.

I'm about to pull a front and rear off my truck, is a 72GMC LWB with a long tail TH350... if anyone knows if that will work? Do you have measurements on the one you need?

Re: WTB: Driveshaft

Sorry, that's about 10" shorter than the one I have... I went from like 30 to 33+ to accommodate. Guess the front shaft is really different in an SWB/LWB setup

I have a 2 pc that I got with a trans a while back. I will measure it on Monday (it's at work) and let you know if it's the length you are looking for.

Re: WTB: Driveshaft

Thanks! that would be great. if its any where near that length, just give me the measurements and ill check to see if it would fit just to be sure, because my measurement was just a quick one, didnt have much time. So it could be give or take a few inches.

Re: WTB: Driveshaft

I can check my 70 GMC suburban. Not sure if it's the same.

Unfortunately, i think they just pulled the 71 Blazer from the yard to crush. It still had the driveshafts too.

JimmyFloyd, that would be great, id really appreciate it.
72chevy383, they do look really nice, not a bad price for a new shaft either, but a little out of my range. Thanks for telling me though! Dan.

Roadking! looks like a winner! How much would you want for that front shaft shipped to 13438? and just to be sure, what diameter is it?

Re: WTB: Driveshaft

Trip, i said aprox 20-21 inches, give or take a few. i only had time to get a quick measurement. When he said 25inches, i took a better measurement and his will work. you said yours was about 10inches longer than 20inches? so yours would be about 30? which is too long. Im sorry if we somehow missunderstood each other, if i had known yours was 25inches, id have bought yours but i didnt know. Dan.

Re: WTB: Driveshaft

No worries...

I'd have to put a tape on it just to be sure, but 30 1/2 center to center on the yokes. I had to go to 33 1/2-3/4 for my swap because the 4spd is 3" shorter than a long tail TH350.

I wasn't in a rush to sell it, just trying to be helpful, if his will work, go with that one, no worries!

Re: WTB: Driveshaft

Gotcha, I was measuring center of the u-joint, center of hole to center of hole, as I was pulling from the junk yard and aiming for length rather than vintage and yoke size might have varied slightly if it was from another year/model
