Precision gears, rear end Q?s

Posted this in the part by mistake, should get more traffic here....

The time has come to rebuild the rear end and switch it over to a 5-lug setup. Has anyone had any experience with a Precision Gear ring and pinion? Also I'm debating between a 3.42 and 3.73 ratio, any one have any opinions either way. Where is a good source for some quality 5-lug axles and how much do they typically run?

I'm planning on running an Eaton posi, thought about the powertrax but some board members have been having some problems with em. Thanks for any help

Moser has C clip axles for about $260 shipped. As far as the gear, it really depends on the intended use. If you are street strip, & not much hy way, I would say 3.73 or 4.10. If you like to do a lot of hyway cruising, the 3.42 would be the best bet. I think the eaton would be the way to go.....just remember that 3.42s are on a 3 series carrier, & 4.10 down are a 4 series carrier to set up....crazy L
