NC newbie saying Hello!

Hello to all, I am new here and to these trucks. My name is Brandon and I am from Durham,NC. I am going to be slowly building this truck for my soon to be wife (some say I am crazy for that). This is a build for her but will be really slow due to present build of my 72 Chevelle pro-touring car, which she says it must be finished before tearing her whole C10 down. She has always wanted one but no true luck on anything decent, cheap and driveable. So story goes I was cleanign up in the attic in my garage when a neighbor comes over to talk and ask me about this old truck he has and wants to sell. Well you guess it a running 1967 short bed C10 with barely no rust besides bed so far to be found. Yeah might be a staight 6 and 3 speed on column but when some friends saw it and seen how rust free it was all over (NC truck). So after some bargining We now have the truck in the driveway! Her further plans/ I will throw mine into include changing to a automatic a must for her, disc brakes all 4 corners, power steering, and I want a LS engine in it . I am wondering here trying to gather info for this build maybe stick a 350 tranny in it till we get funds for a LS engine, since I do have one in the garage. Also trying to figure out column I will need for it from year van/rv.
So enuff on all this so far cause I know your going to say it I will post this weekend before doing anything to it!!!!
Want to thank everyone here for sharing there knowledge of C10's with me. Brandon

Re: NC newbie saying Hello!

Bumping this up for you, welcome From NC.

Get some pictures of the trucks and the Chevelle!

Haha, I am currently helping my wife-to-be 's dad restore a 56 International pickup for our wedding. He has already said she gets the truck in the future, her brother gets the house. It takes priority over my 67 too... I used to have a 70 Chevelle as well.
