well im a really big into stepsides, and my truck is a long bed, 1973 c10. its a beauty, but what im wanting to know is can i get a 73 frame, short bed, and would it matter if i can bolt on a stepside to it?? im new at this, but ive been looking around trying to figure this out? ive been looking for them like crazy, ive been trying to go to the junkyard as well, but i dont have time to disasemble stuff at the junkyard, anyone can help??

Better way is to shorten your frame and throw a bed on it. Easiest to do provided you have welding equipment and the skills.

Or, find a long bed stepside. They are rare, but are out there.

I know someone who has a '73 c10 for a good price if it is still available. Up in Placerville. Let me know if you are interested.

I saw one on Modesto Craigslist today. Carefull the frame is what they will go by for the title.
