Rod, the diameters and all dimensions except depth are identical. The depth of the bb shroud is about 1/2 inch bigger as shown in the 3rd and 4th pics

That is very interesting. I need a new shroud for my 305V6. My 67-70 GMC factory parts manual shows part number 3924932 for the K2500 305V6. For the 396 big block the part number is the same. This means that the early BB shrouds are the same as the 305V6, but the later years were different (thicker approx 4 inch)? The 305V6 shrouds were also smaller for a 1/2 ton. So there are two sizes of shrouds for the 305V6. Some of the shrouds have a part number molded in, can you find it on your two examples?

Erl, sorry both shrouds are long since sold. I can tell you that the v6 shroud was off a 67 GMC camper special from which I can only assume it was a 3/4 ton as I never had entire truck just a few parts. The bb shroud pictured is off a 72 Chevy 3/4 ton and is approx 1/2 inch wider in depth
